Super awesome place for camping. Must pay to camp here but where if your drive down the road a few more miles camping is free. You can buy fire wood here and has easy access to the boat launch.

This campground has the cleanest and best smelling pit toilet I've ever used, aside from that palace in Coyote Gulch (Escalante National Monument). This campground is in very good shape, the sites are nice, the facilities are very nice, and there are huckleberry bushes everywhere! I was eating them all weekend, we even made huckleberry pancakes. The campground also has fairly easy access to the lake so people were swimming. There is treated water near the campground host and spigots in a few other spots. Each site has a bear box large enough for medium coolers but not the largest coolers. This is bear country so all food and cooking items are supposed to be locked away. There is undergrowth in between all the sites and not much tent camping space so we actually had to pitch our larger tent in the parking pad, and there was still plenty of room to park the truck. Pitching more than two tents would be challenging. A special note: the fire rings have grill grates but they don't get low down, so you may need more firewood for cooking than you're used to.
