Visited again this year. The entire atmosphere changed to a very "corporate" feel. Most of the staff had changed. The dining staff and food were wonderful, but the front desk staff were pretty rude and disconnected overall. The caboose they placed us in was a stone's throw from HWY 2 meaning there was traffic noise all night. This was distressing because it was not listed on the site map for the inn and came as a shock when we arrived. It was also very secluded from the rest of the inn/cabins/cabooses to the point of it not being a safe walk back, especially at night. You had to drive past several private residences to get back to the main property. Having been to the Izaak Walton in past years, this experience was extremely disappointing. The place is still nice, but expect a normal "corporate hotel" experience (and do not get the River View Caboose!) Needless to say, I probably will not have my honeymoon there now. (2017)
Stopped in for lunch. Wonderful place with lots of history. Checked out the caboose fixed up as cabins. They are absolutely amazing! We are already planning to come back and stay there!
Staff was so friendly! Great service. We stayed at their property down the road. Nice and cozy. A few bugs in the room, but overall clean and comfortable.
If you haven't gone you haven't lived...... Best place for railfans. Trains are so relaxing helps me sleep. So many fun and awesome things to do there.
Beautiful building and location. Near equal distance between East and West Glacier. The entire staff helped me greatly with a personal issue and helped my family put together a wonder gift for my parents. Hoping to have part of my honey moon there next year. (2016)
This beautiful Inn has old Kabooses as your hotel rooms, the views are amazing, the service is good. They have a resultant and a bar. The resultant was delicious and would be recommended to travel goers.
